Can I buy or sell cupcakes at the event?
Nope! All the cupcakes at CupcakeCamp are free for those who have paid to attend.
So I have to pay to attend?
Yes, but trust us – it’s worth it for all the fun and deliciousness you’ll get! The cost to attend CupcakeCampKW as a eater is $6. This special price will earn you one (1) ticket to eat the cupcake of your choice at the event, PLUS give you free admission to the Children’s Museum for the rest of the day! The cost to attend CupcakeCampKW as a baker is $4. This discounted price will earn you two (2) tickets to eat the cupcakes of your choice at the event, PLUS give you free admission to the Children’s Museum for the rest of the day!
But what if I want to eat MORE cupcakes?
You can buy extra tickets at the door for $1 each! All proceeds will go to the Children’s Museum and all the awesome fun things they do.
Can I really attend if I don’t bring cupcakes?
Yes! While bringing cupcakes is encouraged, we also need eaters to help us eat the cupcakes! Cupcake consumption is strictly voluntary.
Do I have to bake cupcakes or can I bring store-bought cupcakes?
To encourage the spirit of community and homemade-ness, we’re only allowing non-commercial cupcakes at the Camp. Put your apron on and show us what you’ve got!
Do we bake or decorate our cupcakes at the event?
No – your cupcakes should be ready to go at the event. However, feel free to organize your own baking get-togethers with friends before CupcakeCamp!
Will there be cupcake competitions?
Yes, however participating in the competitions is voluntary. More details on the competitions will be coming soon!
Where have CupcakeCamps already taken place?
The very first CupcakeCamp was held in San Francisco, and since then the cupcake love has passed through cities around the world, including several other Canadian stops in Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver.
